'Expendables 4' plot rumors: Hulk Hogan, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to join ensemble?

Production of "Expendables 4" seems to have slowed down as "Expendables 3" did not make a large profit (speculations include the theory that this drop-off may be due to piracy) and because of the current interest in forming an all-female spin-off. However, casting rumors continue and it is now suggested that Hulk Hogan may be in as the film's villain.

According to a report from Christian Post, Hogan explained that he and Sylvester Stallone did have a conversation about including the legendary wrestler in the fourth film once it hits production.

"We're trying to figure out a way to maybe turn me into the most evil man in the world," Hogan stated. "You know, Stallone gave me my first break. He has been a great friend for all these years. We had a great conversation, talking about the possibilities. Can I still run? Can I still jump? Well, not as fast or not as high, but I think Hollywood could find a good stunt man to help me out!"

Hogan made his first splash into the public eye back in 1982's "Rocky III," and from there he became a wrestling icon after becoming a hit in the WWF (now WWE). Bringing Hogan back into a film by Stallone would close the circle.

According to the report, another famous wrestler may also be cast as one of the film's villains. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is rumored to be vying for a role, although it isn't clear if he is going to be cast in the role Hulk Hogan is aiming for or if it is a different character altogether.

Johnson has made no official comment on this rumor at this point, which means it should be taken with a grain of salt until Stallone and the studios officially confirm the involvement of either Hogan or Johnson or both.
