The release date of "Yakuza 6: The Song of Life" for PlayStation 4 (PS4) was moved to April 17, from the initial date of March 20. The demo for the game, on the other hand, will be available on Feb. 27.

The official Yakuza Game Twitter account made the announcement on Feb. 3. The statement failed to include the reason for the delayed release date. However, Yakuza Game said that deciding to delay the game for a month was a tough decision, but one they had to do.

Moreover, Yakuza Game announced that the demo for "Yakuza 6" will release on Feb. 27. Players will be allowed, for the first time, to save and carry over their saved progress into the game once officially released. Yakuza Games also said that they have more plans in store that will gradually be revealed to players before April 17.

According to Cinemablend, Sega, the developer and publisher of the "Yakuza" franchise, will be hinting at new content, in particular, the information on the upcoming mini-games in "Yakuza 6." Furthermore, Cinemablend said that all the mini-games in the upcoming video game are retained from the original Japanese version that was published in December 2016. In addition, the upcoming Western version of "Yakuza 6" will also have a bonus content — the reveal of the full version of Sega's "Virtua Fighter 5" included as a playable title.

"Yakuza 6: The Song of Life" will pick up where the previous game, "Yakuza 5," left off. Players will take on the role of Kazuma Kiryu who was hospitalized. He will be apprehended by the police, arresting him for his past crimes. Kiryu will spend three years in prison. When he was released, Kiryu discovered Haruka Sawamura was missing.

He began searching for her only to find out she was in comatose after a hit-and-run incident. She also appeared to have a newborn son named Haruto. From then on, Kiryu's adventure will begin as he embarks on a journey to Hiroshima with Haruto to discover what happened to Haruka while he was in prison.
