Xiaomi Mi3 to get Android 5.0 L update soon, according to leaked photos

Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi will run its Android 5.0 Lollipop update on its flagship product Mi3 soon, several rumors claimed. 

The mobile brand is considered as one of the most successful smartphone manufacturers in China, and they have managed to be on top of the mobile device market because of competitively-priced products. 

According to reports, the Chinese company will soon start rolling out the operating system update for its best-selling Xiaomi Mi3. 

The rumors started when a leaked image was posted on the Chinese social media microsite Weibo, showing that an Mi3 is already equipped with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. 

The ROM in the image is reportedly for the Mi3 WCDMA model which can be purchased outside China. It also showed that the reported operating system software update will happen anytime soon. 

Recently, other mobile manufacturers announced that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is underway for some of their product lines, including LG, Motorola, and Nexus. Other Android smartphone brands like Samsung and Sony will reportedly announce their plans to roll out the latest Android OS update in the coming days. 

Xiaomi's popular Mi3 device became one of the highly saleable Chinese mobile smartphone because of its superb specs that could compete with other leading brands. 

It comes in a 5-inch, full HD touchscreen display with 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and Adreno 330 GPU. It also has a 13-megapixel rear-end primary camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing secondary camera. The smartphone currently runs using the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system. 

The Beijing-based consumer electronics and computer hardware manufacturer is considered as the third largest smartphone distributer in the world. It started to release its smartphone products in mainland China in August 2011, before branching out to other markets like India and Indonesia in recent years. 

There is no exact release date yet for Xiaomi Mi3's Android 5.0 Lollipop update, but rumors are claiming that it will be held soon.
