Speculations about the upcoming upgrades for the Xbox One continue as Microsoft gears up for its E3 2016 press conference in June.

Since Xbox head Phil Spencer teased that the studio is coming up with different advancements for their popular home console product during the Xbox Spring Showcase in March, Xbox One players are looking forward to more news about the rumored Xbox One development.

"You'll actually see us come out with new hardware capability during a generation, allowing the same games to run backward- and forward-compatible, because we have a Universal Windows Application running on top of the Universal Windows Platform that allows us to focus more and more on hardware innovation without invalidating the games that run on that platform," Spencer said.

This could mean that they are planning a new hardware upgrade for Xbox One, or they will come up with a brand-new console that can be called the Xbox Two.

Reports about the upgraded Xbox One point to the possibility of omitting all the physical drives of the console. According to GamenGuide, Microsoft's home console will soon rely solely on an Internet connection in order for players to play the game. Other reports claim that the future iteration of the Xbox One will be powered by an AMD chipset, and it will come out with an improved GPU.

Meanwhile, Polygon revealed that there will be more game titles that will be included in the backward compatibility feature of the Xbox One. This time, games like "Red Dead Redemption 2" are expected to be part of the console's special offering.

There is also a speculation regarding the possibility of expanded partnership between EA Games and Xbox, after the game studio signed up for an exclusive partnership with Microsoft. This could possibly add more exclusive titles that could be playable for the console, including the next sequel of "Titanfall" and future installments from the "Star Wars" franchise.

Microsoft has yet to confirm if any of the speculations are accurate.
