The month of October is almost over, which means that the free games for those who subscribed to Xbox Live with Gold membership will be released anytime soon.

While the official statement from Microsoft has yet to be released, several speculations about the possible titles are already going around online.

Because of the latest backwards compatibility system, players can expect to get more than 100 titles that used to be playable exclusively on Xbox 360 to come to Xbox One and vice versa. However, the exact free game titles are still kept under wraps.

But for those who are eager to learn what they can play on their Xbox consoles will be glad to learn that Telltale Games' "The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season" that was released last month on Xbox Live with Gold for free will still be available until mid-November for Xbox One players. Gamers have had the chance to download the game since Oct. 16, but they can only enjoy it for free until Nov. 15.

However, those who are still using the last-gen Xbox 360 will only get to enjoy "The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season" until Sunday, Oct. 31.

Last year, Xbox Live Games with Gold featured three brand-new games that came out for free for the subscribers of Microsoft's online multiplayer and digital media service provider according to a post on Major Nelson. The games included ID@Xbox's "Volgarr the Viking," as well as "Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise," and "Red Faction: Guerrilla."

But for this year, Xbox gamers are expecting to get AAA Games for the upcoming month, as well as some horror-inspired games to celebrate the upcoming Halloween.

Since the program started in 2013, Microsoft has normally unveiled two Xbox Games with Gold titles for Xbox One and one for Xbox 360 each month.

Microsoft is expected to reveal the game titles that will come out for free for Xbox Live Games with Gold subscribers in the coming days.
