WWE rumors: Shawn Michaels to be back as trainer at WWE Performance Center

Esteemed World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend Shawn Michaels will be returning to the WWE Performance Center in Florida to help hone the next batch of WWE stars.

According to WWE commentator Jim Ross, The Heartbreak Kid even sold his home in Texas and relocated his family to Florida for the gig. However, it is unknown if this new gig will be full-time.

Ross called HBK's WWE involvement as a "Godsend for the students" at the Performance Center considering his excellent WWE history, even earning the title as the greatest in-ring performer of all-time.

"This is a tremendous 'get' for WWE even if Shawn is only part time and will make their Performance Center even stronger," Ross wrote on his blog.

"Shawn shared with me his genuine excitement to help coach they young talents when his schedule permits and also be a much needed mentor to them," he went on to say.

Ross also gushed about the match between HBK and Triple H at WWE SummerSlam 2002, which he declared as "of my all time favorite bouts that I ever broadcast."

Training wrestling stars is not new to Michaels. In fact, he has already been a guest trainer in Performance Center before and back in Texas, he ran his own wrestling academy.

As per What Culture, there he helped the likes of Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Lance Cade and current Smackdown general manager Daniel Bryan become the superstars they have become.

With regards to the schedule, there's no word about it yet. Fans hope that he will eventually go full-time especially since he and his family are not too far away from his new work place.

However, an update by Mike Johnson of PWInsider hinted that HBK might not go full-time after all. "The ball was in his court as to whether he wanted the deal full-time, but nothing had been 100 percent locked in stone as of today," he wrote.
