WWE rumors: Paige neck injury leads to more serious problems?

When is Paige returning to WWE? WWE.com

Paige has not been in WWE lately following a back, neck and shoulder injury, whose treatment may require the superstar to be sidelined for two to three weeks. However, a new report says it is worse than expected.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription needed), Paige acquired nerve damage due to her back and shoulder issues.

"I was told her neck issue is similar to what a lot of the guys have had that had serious problems where the problem has led to weakness in the right arm which was the first stage for some major issues with a lot of the guys," he explained.

Heavy.com points out that prior to joining WWE, Paige already has a lingering back issue due to scoliosis, which made her spine look like a question mark.

Paige recognized the possibility that her condition could bring about issues. However, she has been working hard and training to make her back stronger.

Amidst her absence from WWE, Paige has been very active in social media. She even posted a video of herself at the gym at midnight training and strengthening her back.

With regards to the status of her return, it is currently unknown if she will be out of the squared circle long than expected. For now, Paige seems to be working hard to get back into shape.

Last week, Paige's mother Saraya tweeted that her daughter was undergoing physiotherapy and tests on her back and neck. She also took to Twitter to shoot down reports of Paige being fired from WWE.

As per WAW referee David Finch, it is being hoped that physical therapy will do the trick. "It's believed to be a nerve issue that they're hoping can be addressed with physical therapy as opposed to surgery," he wrote on Facebook.

"But she's scheduled for another evaluation on Aug. 15 which will determine the next steps in treatment," he continued.
