WWE rumors, news 2016: CM Punk may return after time with MMA

CM Punk has admitted that part of his dismay with the modern wrestling industry is that he hates things being fake and over-scripted. Instead of just acting out a storyline he likes to do his own thing. Perhaps which is why he has been taking time off. But now that he might be wrestling again, what can be expected of him the ring? Ans if he does come back who will be his most probable contenders?

Among the rivals who are expected to greet Punk with fights if he chooses to come back into the WWE fold are the likes of Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura in particular is said to be a very apt rival for Punk to fight against.

The wrestler had admitted that he lacked the characteristic agility and athletics that are expected of wrestlers in WWE and as a consequence ended up getting hurt or hurting rivals. So has anything changed in that department? Now having tried his hand at MMA which is a mix of wresting and martial arts, Punk might bring some new magic to the ring. However experience from his MMA stint if any is expected to be very scarce since injury had prevented him from fighting thed desired matches in UFC despite training extensively.

Nevertheless, one factor in Punk's possible return to WWE can not be overlooked. The fact that Punk was a WWE superstar and brought a lot of glitter and glamour to the show continues to be a compelling factor for the wrestler as well as WWE. So, as long as it does good business having him back wouldn't do much harm.

That being said, it is a little hard to believe rumours about Punk's return since things have been quite bitter between him and WWE. After all, its not everyday that your company send you your termination letter as a wedding present.
