WWE rumors: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have options to move back to ROH

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have not been the happiest talents the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has. They recently got kicked out and was sent home earlier than expected from their WWE European tour. Ring of Honor, (ROH), on the other hand released a throwback video of the two wrestlers during their ROH days just a day after the duo got kicked out.

Although this may be a bit farfetched, fans could not help but see some connection between the two companies. Naturally, the two are competitors in the wrestling scene. Thus, it seems natural for one to react when the other does something as well. As WWE made a mistake with directing the two, ROH may have just added insult to injury by releasing the video.

The video was a throwback to when ROH had Kevin Steen and El Generico. For those who do not know about these two, Owens played El Generico while Zayn took the ring name Kevin Steen. There is nothing else in the video except for the raw footage of the throwback. Nothing really suggests ROH wanting them back. It is the timing that tells many fans a message.

Although the message in unclear and may just be to insult WWE, one thing is for sure. Both Owens and Zayn can always come back to where they started — at ROH. This is especially given the duo's unhappiness with their current company. According to The Sportster, two of the duo's closest friends both left WWE just a few weeks ago: former writer Jimmy Jacobs and WWE Superstar Neville.

Both Owens and Zayn have been longtime best friends, according to Screen Rant. It is no wonder then both have left ROH and entered WWE at the same time. Many are then not surprised as well seeing how they also both got kicked out of the European tour.

Neither of the companies nor the wrestlers said anything regarding the issue so not much can be said for now. If it is any consolation, it does add to the cheeky excitement for both ROH's and WWE's viewers.
