John Cena is again in hot water after speculations of splitting with fiancé Nicki Bella continue to stay afloat amid the two's wedding plans.

In an interview with TODAY, the 16-time World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion became honest with the true status of his relationship with fiancé Nicki Bella.

"I think in relationships, you have highs and lows, and that was an extreme low,'' he said lamenting on the possibility of his wedding being called off as hinted in a reality TV show featuring Bella. "You have two choices. You either jump ship and start a new relationship, or move forward and try to work through it. We're gonna move forward and try to work through it."

In the teaser trailer of Bella's reality show with sister Brie, Bella was caught teary-eyed while saying, "So we really want to call this off?" Which many believed to be a direct statement addressing their wedding.

This then brought about a question from Kathie Lee Gifford — the TODAY's show host — asking Cena if the wedding will still push through.

Cena replied with, "Like I said, I believe we both have some work to do, and we're genuinely trying our best to work through it, so I'm very happy to say that it's in a situation that we're working through,'' he said, adding, "We haven't yet jumped ship."

Cena and Bella were engaged in the 33rd season of WrestleMania with thousands of wrestling fans as witnesses.

Rumors of the two's rocky relationship started plastering on many news outlets early this year with Cena always denying and addressing the talks. The two lovebirds have yet to announce a date for their wedding.

Cena and Bella are expected to play a huge part on the lead up towards WrestleMania 34. Cena is set to enter the ring in the Men's Elimination Chamber Match later this month.
