Brock Lesnar's return to the Octagon for the UFC 200 event for his bout with Mark Hunt will have no effect on his WWE career, the pro wrestler/mixed martial artist claimed.
Speaking with MMAFighting.com, Lesnar, who won against Hunt on Saturday, said that he does not care about the outcome of his return to the UFC ring.
"I really don't give a s**t. This isn't about my fans. This is about me living my life, being the person that I want to be. Granted, without the fans and everything, none of us would be able to do this. I get that," the three-time WWE Champion said. "But I don't sit up at night wondering is my drawing power gonna be hurt or are my WWE fans gonna tune in and watch me do this. I don't give two s**ts about that. This is about me. I want to get in there and be an athlete again. That's what this is about."
While WWE has yet to announce their future plans for Lesnar after his heavyweight bout at UFC 200, speculations rumors about his next opponent at the upcoming SummerSlam has been talked about online.
WWE fans are expecting to see him fight one of the top pro wrestlers at the SummerSlam.
One of his highly rumored opponents is Randy Orton, who is expected to return to the WWE ring after recovering from his injuries. According to WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross in his blog post, "Not sure if the rumor is true but if it is I hope Orton is ready for some suplexes on his repaired shoulder that has been problematic for Randy for a good while."
Ross also commented that Lesnar's pro-MMA fight could still have an effect at the next SummerSlam. "Obviously the outcome of the Lesnar-Hunt UFC 200 fight could potentially alter Lesnar's appearance in Brooklyn in August," he said.
Aside from Orton, Kevin Owens is also speculated to fight Lesnar at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam.
