Big Show has announced that he will be retiring from the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) next year. The superstar is getting in his best shape for his final match.

For his ultimate battle, the 44-year-old WWE favorite will duke it out with basketball superstar turned grappler Shaquille O'Neal at WrestleMania 33 in April 2017.

During his interview with 790 The Ticket in Miami, where he revealed his retirement, Big Show said that he has been training heavily for the highly-anticipated bout.

As per What Culture, Big Show's 2017 retirement comes quite a surprise due to the fact that he always said that he still has something to offer to WWE.

In his past interviews, he never failed to mention that he will spend a bit more time with WWE. However, it looks like Show is ready to step out of the squared circle for good.

The site also says that with a big match with O'Neal, which has been rumored for quite a long while and a match that fans have been dying to see, Big Show may have felt that he has done everything in WWE, which is actually accurate.

Bleacher Report believes that Big Show will leave an amazing WWE legacy, one which involves a debut match where he pinned the legendary Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Championship.

He is also one of the few wrestlers who held championships World Championship Wrestling (WCW), WWE and (Extreme Championship Wrestling) ECW. So if Big Show is leaving next year, he will go out with a bang.

What Culture hopes that Big Show will also give a boost a young talent or two before he officially leaves WWE. Fans also hope that his final match will give his WWE career an amazing ending.

It is also expected that Big Show will get one lost crack at a championship title before he leaves the ring.

The WrestleMania 33 will take place on April 2, 2017.
