A leaked screenshot reveals that Microsoft's latest Edge web browser will have new features courtesy of the next Windows 10 update set to come out soon.

Softpedia reported that several screenshots from China showed that the Windows 10 build 10551 is being tested behind closed doors and it could be the update to bring some of the new features of Edge.

One of the rumored features that will come with the Windows 10 build 10551 is the synchronization options that will let users sync content across all their Windows 10 devices. This means that Edge will work as a universal app that is compatible with PC, tablets, and smartphones running on WIndows 10.

Another reported feature will allow users to open Edge from the taskbar, desktop shortcut or Start menu with just a press of the mouse's middle button. With this action, a new window will be opened for browsing.

The upcoming features are just some of the most requested ones mentioned in the Windows Insider Feedback hub. This means that Microsoft listens to the community to further improve the new Windows 10 operating system as well as its core apps like the Edge web browser.

Other features like the Tab Previews are yet to be addressed by Microsoft.

Meanwhile, the company set the records straight regarding the alleged privacy issues of Windows 10 by posting a statement from Windows community manager Terry Myerson on its official blog site.

According to Myerson, "Windows 10 collects information so the product will work better for you. You are in control with the ability to determine what information is collected." This means that the user data will not be collected or used to send ads without permission.

"With Windows 10, information we collect is encrypted in transit to our servers, and then stored in secure facilities," Myerson said.
