An unlikely alliance will be formed between two enemies in the next episode of "Wayward Pines" season 2.

According to speculations for the episode titled "Walcott Prep," Dr. Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric) and Xander Beck (Josh Helman) must push their differences aside and work together to stop Jason Higgins (Tom Stevens) from making a wrong move that could possibly eradicate humanity.

Jason will choose to put the Wayward Pines residents back to sleep in order to survive the upcoming attacks of the Abbies. But while this could be the easiest way out of the approaching danger, it could also further damage the entire town.

What can Theo and Xander do to stop the town's sheriff from causing massive damage to the mysterious town?

The synopsis for the episode reads:

"Pilcher recalls finding his Chosen One. Then, as the Abbies close in, Jason makes a fatal judgment call and Theo and Xander must put aside their differences to stop him before the human race is lost."

However, viewers of the mystery sci-fi thriller would also like to see how Theo will accept the fact that Xander is the real father of the child his wife Rebecca (Nimrat Kaur) is carrying. Theo may have given up on their marriage, but it does not mean that Rebecca's infidelity will be ignored.

Also, it would be interesting to see the changes in the relationship between Jason and his wife Kerry (Kacey Rohl) after he realizes that she cannot give him a child. Will he simply push her aside and try to find ways to fulfill his duty as a citizen of Wayward Pines to produce a child for the next generation?

The ninth episode of "Wayward Pines" season 2 is scheduled to air on FOX on Wednesday, July 20.
