Fatshark, the developer and publisher of the game "Warhammer: Vermintide 2," announced that the personal computer (PC) version of the game is set to release on March 8.

Fatshark announced the 2015 "Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide's" sequel on Feb. 14 via a live stream titled "Date Night" and a post on the official "Vermintide" website. The CEO of Fatshark, Martin Wahlund, said that they have always wanted to create a "Warhammer" sequel that stayed true to the beautifully dark atmosphere of the game's world and at the same time, brought new experiences and ideas for players. The upcoming game is now available for preorder on Steam at $26.99, 10% off the original price. The preorder beta will also include a "Vermintide 1" downloadable content (DLC), "Death on the Reik," for free.

According to its Steam page, in "Warhammer: Vermintide 2," players will be thrown back to the apocalyptic End Times of the war-ravaged "Warhammer" Fantasy Battles world. The five heroes of the first "Vermintide" will be back — the Witch Hunter, Empire Soldier, Dwarf Ranger, Waywatcher and Bright Wizard — this time, to fight the combined forces of the Chaos army and the Skaven (a rodent-like monstrous creature) hordes. The upcoming game features 15 new careers for the five heroes to choose from, new environments, talent trees, a Heroic Deeds system and an improved Loot system.

The Steam page also included the minimum and recommended requirements for the "Warhammer: Vermintide 2." The minimum system requirements are as follows — operating system (OS) should at least be 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10; processor should be Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.80 GHz / AMD FX-4350 @ 4.2 GHz; system memory not lower than 6 GB random-access memory (RAM); graphics should not be lower than NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870; DirectX should be Version 11; broadband internet connection is required; and there should be 45 GB available storage space. The recommended system requirements are as follows — 64-bit Windows 10 OS; Intel Core i7- 3770 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4 GHz processor; 8 GB RAM; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / ATI Radeon R9 series for the graphics card; DirectX Version 12; broadband internet connection; and 45 GB available storage space.
