Valentine's Day 2018 gifts, discounts update: Amazon devices, Beats by Dre headphones and more

For those planning to get their loved ones a new gadget, Amazon Valentine's deals offer discounts on selected items. Smart speakers, headsets, cameras, and tablets are being sold for lower prices this month. The store even offers some deals on gaming devices.

People interested in getting Amazon Echo smart speakers may find that this is the time to buy one. The second-generation Echo is available for $84.99, down from the usual price of $99.99. The Echo Spot is available for $114.99 (down from $129.99) and the Echo Show is currently priced at $179.99 (from $229.99).

There are also deals for Amazon Fire Tablets. Amazon Fire HD 7, HD 8, and HD 10 Tablets had their prices slashed down to $39.99, $59.99, $119.99 respectively.

Those who are more into reading may be interested in Valentine's Day deals for Kindle e-readers. The Kindle Paperwhite e-reader is now available for $99.99 (usually goes for $119.99), while the regular Kindle e-reader is for sale for $59.99 (down from its usual price of $79.99).

For audio needs, Beats by Dr. Dre Studio 3 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones are also discounted for $279.95 (usually priced $349.95). Meanwhile, Sony's Noise Canceling Over-Ear Headphones now go for $298.

Anker ZOLO Wireless earphones have promos as well. Their Liberty True Wireless Earphones sell for $79 (with promo code LOVEZOLO) while the Liberty+ variant sells for $119 (with promo code ZOLOLOVE). Promos for Anker ZOLO run only until Feb. 14 2018.

For those who plan to spend Valentine's playing games with their significant other, Amazon also offers a "Build Your Own Bundle" featuring the Nintendo Switch. For $349.99, the package includes the hybrid console, accessories, games, and controllers.

The online store also accepts 1-month Xbox Game Pass pre-orders, with a 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold. These bundles come with a free copy of the popular battle royale shooter "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" ("PUBG").
