Ubisoft is extending their "Happy Playdays" free game giveaway.

Ubisoft is giving away free games for their "Happy Playdays" promotion, which is now extended until Saturday, Dec. 23. Free games include "Watch Dogs," "World in Conflict," and the previously announced "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag."

As previously reported, Ubisoft gave away free "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" copies (digital only) as part of the company's "Assassin's Creed" 10th year anniversary. The giveaway was only for a limited time, but Ubisoft has extended the giveaway and even added "Watch Dogs" for free as part of their "Happy Playdays" promotions.

"Watch Dogs" was initially released in 2014. It is an open-world game set in the fictionalized version of Chicago, Illinois. The player controls a hacker named "Aiden Pearce" who seeks revenge after his niece died during the Northeast Blackout of 2003.

Aiden can roam freely through the streets of Chicago. The main gameplay mechanic of the game includes Aiden's ability to hack through the city's central operating system, a system that connects every electronic device around Chicago, using only his smartphone.

Ubisoft's "Watch Dogs" received generally favorable reviews for the game. "Watch Dogs" received 8/10 from Gamespot and Polygon, 8.6/10 from IGN, and 8.7/10 from PC Gamer. A sequel to the game, titled "Watch Dogs 2," was released in June 2016 and was set in the much larger city of San Francisco, California. "Watch Dogs 2" is considered to be a better game than the prequel.

Initially released in on September of 2007, Ubisoft has also included "World in Conflict" to their "Happy Playdays" roster of free games. The real-time strategy (RTS) game focuses on Russia's invasion of Western Europe after failing to get aid from the West. The game is an alternate reality of the 1989 revolutions.

Players must have a Ubisoft Uplay account, which is also free to make, to get these games.
