Ubisoft is currently giving away "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" for free. Fans of the franchise are advised to grab it now since the giveaway is only for a week.

The "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" free giveaway is part of Ubisoft's 10th year anniversary of the first "Assassin's Creed" game. According to Ubisoft's official blog, fans of the franchise have until Monday, Dec. 18 to grab the game for free. Players will be charged nothing to download "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag." All they have to do is to have a Ubisoft's Uplay account to download the game.

"Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" is a big download, however. Players are advised to have at least 25 gigabytes (GB) of free hard disk space. Also, the promo is only limited to PC.

Considered as the greatest game of the entire "Assassin's Creed" franchise by many fans, "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" will have players play as the pirate Edward Kenway, Connor's (Assassin's Creed III protagonist) grandfather. Gamers will be playing around the seas of Caribbean during the golden age of piracy. Unlike the previous "Assassin's Creed" games, however, players will spend most of their time on sea onboard the "Jackdaw."

There will be tons of sea exploration in "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" as well as more naval combat. Naval combat was first introduced in "Assassin's Creed III" and was extremely favored by the fans. Ubisoft continued to add naval warfare into the franchise's seventh installment, "Assassin's Creed: Rogue." Naval warfare was also added to the latest installment of the franchise "Assassin's Creed: Origins" which is a prequel to the entire series.

Ubisoft also gave the real-time strategy game titled "World in Conflict" for free on Dec. 4. The giveaway also ran for a week and ended on Dec. 11.

"Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
