Tyra Banks baby news 2016: Model spotted in Beverly Hills for the first time after becoming a mom

Model and talk show host Tyra Banks has, for the first time after giving birth to her son, been spotted out and about in Beverly Hills. Donning a head-turning purple jumpsuit, the new mom was seen picking up a pair of smoothies.

This was the first time the "America's Next Top Model" host was photographed outside since welcoming her and boyfriend's – Norwegian photographer Erik Asla – baby named York.

Thanks to little bundle of joy, Banks had the "Happiest Valentine's Day of [her] life." Last week, the supermodel posted a photo of herself cradling her baby boy close to her chest as she professed her love for the newborn.

Banks announced her entry to motherhood last month via Instagram, where she called baby York "the best present we worked and prayed so hard for." Describing the new love of her life, Banks wrote "He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin."

"As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world," Banks went on to write.

Fans of the star couldn't be happier about the news with Banks's social media overflowing with love and support from her devoted followers. For those who are not in the know, Tyra has been making attempts to conceive, even trying out IVF procedures, but mostly ended in vain.

She hid the news of the baby coming from her closest friends for fear that it was merely a false alarm. According to an insider who spoke to E! Online, Banks wanted to make it official first before she told the whole world about it. Now at 42, Banks is a happy mom and wants more kids.

Banks has been dating baby York's dad Erik for two years.
