Will Charlie Sheen join the rest of the cast and crew in saying goodbye to "Two and a Half Men"?

Nina Tassler, the head of the entertainment department of CBS, refused to answer that question when asked during the press meeting at the winter tour of the Television Critics Association held on Monday.

She simply replied, "I can promise you there will be a lot of surprises."

When the network confirmed that the current season will be the show's last, there were reports saying that Sheen, who portrayed the role of Charlie Harper until the show's ninth season, is willing to return in its final episode.

"I would definitely do it, yeah, yeah. If they'll still have me, I will be there. Yeah, I owe it some measure of closure. I owe it to the fans, I owe it to myself. I just think it makes sense," the controversial actor was heard saying.

Warner Bros. Television fired Sheen back in 2011 because of his troubled personal life and his constant public tirade against the network bosses, including Chuck Lorre, the executive producer of the show. His character was written off by killing it with a subway train collision in Paris, where he and Rose (Melanie Lyskey) ran away to after realizing that they were in love with each other.

Sheen left other original cast mates Jon Cryer, who portrays the role of his younger brother Alan, as well as his nephew Jake portrayed by Angus T. Jones. Popular comedic actor Ashton Kutcher joined the cast in season 9, playing the role of Alan's closest friend Walden Schmidt.

When asked if he believes that Sheen will really return for the series finale, Kutcher remarked that he is not counting on it, saying, "I just kind of stopped listening to things Charlie Sheen says."

"Charlie Sheen has kind of become like a parent on 'Charlie Brown' to me. It's like 'Wah-wah-wah, wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah," the actor frankly stated.
