Another "Toy Story" movie is confirmed to be in the works, but it will still take a while before fans can see it on the big screen.

Pixar revealed on Wednesday that "Toy Story 4" will debut in theaters on June 21, 2019. It will be a year later than expected, since the animation studio opted to open up the slot for the release of "The Incredibles 2" on June 15, 2018.

The Hollywood Reporter mentioned that Disney Films insiders revealed that the reason for the sudden swap in the films' release date was caused by the unexpectedly fast pace of the production of the sequel to 2004's "The Incredibles."

Details about the plot of "Toy Story 4" remain under wraps, but speculations claim that the film could possibly center on a love story.

Since Andy is already all grown-up and out of his mother's house for college in "Toy Story 3," it can be speculated that the plot of the movie will deal with the introduction of Andy's girlfriend to his favorite childhood buddies Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the gang.

On the other hand, "Toy Story 3" director Lee Unkrich teased that the plot for the fourth installment of the blockbuster animated film would finally shed light on the reason why Andy values Woody so much. The director speculated in an interview with MSN Movies that Woody was a gift from Andy's father, who was noticeably absent in the first three films under the "Toy Story" franchise.

"Maybe Woody is so special to Andy because he was given to him by his dad. I don't know if that is the case or not, but there is that kind of unspoken question, 'Why would Woody be especially special to him?'" the filmmaker stated.

Pixar and Disney Films are expected to announce more details about "Toy Story 4" soon.
