'The Walking Dead' season 5 mid-season premiere spoilers: More deaths will happen in the next episodes

Fans are still grieving over the death of Beth Green (Emily Kinney) during the midseason finale of "The Walking Dead" season 5, but it seems like more painful deaths are coming once the series returns after its winter hiatus.

A number of rumors are saying that Tyreese (Chad Coleman) might die during the show's ninth or 10th episode. He might meet his end before their group gets to Alexandria. The rumors about Tyreese's impending death stems from the fact that Coleman was not seen with the cast and crew while shooting the scenes after the story reached the Alexandria arc.

But Tyreese is not the only character who will allegedly die in the next episodes of "The Walking Dead." If the TV adaptation of the original "The Walking Dead" comic book will stay true to the story, then fans should expect to see Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) die soon. In the comic book, Abraham gets killed immediately after he and the group reach Alexandria. He dies when somebody shoots him in the head while talking to Eugene (Josh McDermitt).

However, there are no confirmations released by AMC about any of the reported deaths as of the moment.

Meanwhile, TWD executive producer Scott Gimple unveiled a brief but very meaningful teaser about the remaining episodes of season 5 during a recent interview. According to Gimple, things are going to get darker in the show.

"The back eight has a very interesting structure, there are some very emotional moments, there are some very crazy moments, and there's a huge change for the situation of these characters," the executive producer said.

Gimple also said that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) will be "darker" when the season returns.

Although there are no further details given about what the possible changes would be in the coming episodes, fans should expect to see more gruesome scenes between the remaining survivors and the undead.

"The Walking Dead" season 5 will return on TV starting Feb. 8.
