Maggie and Glenn finally saw each other after he almost died when he fell in a pool of walkers in episode 3. But it seems like the couple will go through another set of hurdles before they can be reunited in the second half of "The Walking Dead" season 6.

Actress Lauren Cohan recently talked with Entertainment Weekly to reveal what's in store for her character Maggie Greene and her husband Glenn Rhee, portrayed by Steven Yeun.

Cohan admitted that Maggie and Glenn have already gone through a lot in their relationship.

"We have put the couple through the ringer," the actress revealed. "In terms of separating, then promising they'll never leave each other's sight again, and now they're in the ultimate separation over this sea of walkers."

But while the two can physically see each other in a distance, it still does not mean that they can have the happy reunion immediately.

"The reunion is going to be somewhat overshadowed by a lot of other darkness," Cohan shared. "I think I can say that much. Because they have found each other and just in time to sort of help everybody else in this huge battle that's continuing. They're completely underwater right now. We've had both of them at the absolute cliff edge of danger and death."

Aside from the threats brought by the numerous walkers around him, Glenn's fate in the second half of "The Walking Dead" season 6 is also in danger since the group of survivors will finally meet Negan, the ruthless leader of the Saviors.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan will breathe life to the role of the feared and merciless head of the group of survivors from Washington, D.C.

[Spoiler alert]

In the comics the post-apocalyptic TV series is based on, Negan killed Glenn using his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat which he fondly calls Lucille. Could this mean that Glenn's ultimate demise will happen soon?

"The Walking Dead" season 6 will return with the episode titled "No Way Out" airing Feb. 14 on AMC.
