A major Salvatore sibling war is about to happen in the next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

In the episode titled "Coming Home Was a Mistake," Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be well on his way to major self-destruction. This could make it harder for his brother, Stefan (Paul Wesley), to rescue him from the influence of the evil siren named Sybil (Nathalie Kelley). But in order to stop his brother from being completely consumed by the darkness, Stefan will have to face a gut-wrenching decision that could possibly make Damon hate him forever.

Based on the promo trailer for the upcoming episode, Damon will be trapped angrily at the other side of a glass window. It seems like Stefan trapped him at the same Armory where Sybil was brought. This could be Stefan's way of stopping his brother from causing further damage.

Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham) will also do everything that she can in order to get through to Enzo (Michael Malarkey). She will even ask Caroline (Candice King) to help her with the task. Will she finally rescue Enzo from the clutches of the siren who also trapped Damon?

Several rumors claim that the plot of the previous episode, where Sybil's sister Seline (Kristen Gutoskie) managed to defeat Georgie (Allison Scagliotti), could open up the possibility for Nina Dobrev's return as Katherine Pierce. This could mean that Katherine's return will finally end Damon's ruthlessness once and for all.

However, showrunner Julie Plec has yet to confirm if Dobrev already signed up to return in the series after she exited the series at the end of season 6. But the showrunner earlier confirmed that they were doing everything to bring her back to the show's eighth and final season.

The next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 is slated to air on Friday, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
