'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 spoilers: Bonnie's still not in a great position; Steroline romance rekindled

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will see Bonnie in misery. The CW

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will have a lot in store for each character that fans will certainly love. The new season centers on the the gang learning more about the mystery of the Armory and the power it holds.

Kat Graham's Bonnie is back and free from the curse, but she won't feel any better seeing Enzo and Damon in a bad situation after their attempt to save her. What's even more upsetting is that she can't do anything about it with her powers gone.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will be the last for Graham. It remains to be seen if it is the last one for the series as well, but this upcoming season will definitely be big on Bonnie.

Also, when "The Vampire Diaries" returns for season 8, Steroline fans will be the happiest as Stefan and Caroline will be a happy couple again.

"It's a nicer way to end the story. I'm looking forward to seeing them be able to have a relationship that makes them happy, and we'll see," executive producer Julie Plec told E! Online of the couple.

As for Alaric, he is not bothered by it at all. Plec promised that he will handle himself "gracefully." In fact, "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will give Matt Davis's character a chance to shine.

"We've always wanted to create an environment that he could drop into and this is the first year where we felt like we could actually put a name on it and give it an identity," Plec told Yahoo.

"And so my hope is that there's still a future with the Armory as it falls into the hands of our heroes and what they can do with it moving forward," she added.

Speaking of the Armory, Plec said that there's definitely evil lurking in the vault that has the ability to "get inside your heard and strip away everything good about you." This will explain Damon and Enzo's murder extravaganza.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 is expected to premiere October this year.
