"The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 19 will finally show the events that led to Bonnie and Enzo's romance as well as her place in the asylum, as shown in previous episodes of the vampire drama.
"It's a really great Bonnie-Enzo centric love story episode, and it's fun to watch," showrunner Julie Plec told Entertainment Weekly of the upcoming "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 installment.
The title of the episode is "Somebody That I Used to Know." Here, Enzo's bid to save Bonnie inadvertently does the opposite, further leading danger to their path. However, all hope isn't lost. There is one more solution to try, but it involves Rayna.
Bonnie and Enzo realize in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 19 that the vampire hunter may hold the key to end Bonnie's misery. However, in order for her to be on board, she will need some convincing.
No one is more persuasive that Damon. Unfortunately for Bonnie, she has to set aside her resentment towards him in order to save her life. Damon, of course, is more than pleased to help as it could be a way to repair their friendship.
In the promo for "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 19, Damon brokers a deal with Rayna that he believes she can't refuse. Damon offers himself and Bonnie to be her "hit squad."
"Me and Bonnie will be happy to wipe out anyone on your list," Damon tells Rayna, who seems to have agreed, as "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 19 promo showed a montage of the old friends kicking butts together.
"This Bonnie and Clyde routine is starting to improve your aim," Damon tells Bonnie in the trailer. "I just picture your face as the target," Bonnie then quips. While Bonnie and Damon keep their end of the bargain, Enzo stumbles upon information as to why The Armory is after Bonnie.
Elsewhere in this "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode, Stefan's long-awaited confrontation with Alaric about Caroline will happen at last and the tension is at the utmost.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 19 "Somebody that I Used to Know" airs April 22 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
