Heading to "The Originals" season 4, the Mikaelsons, once regarded as the most feared and powerful vampires to ever walk the Earth, were helpless and well, dead.

It is now up to Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) to find them a cure.

It is because of this that she becomes a target of Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). However, despite what he's done and what he is about to do, series executive producer Michael Narducci does not want to label him as the big bad for "The Originals" season 4.

Marcel is simply the executors of those who try to disrupt the peace in New Orleans, the peace he worked so hard to establish. Narducci believes he is more of a leader than a villain.

"I have never once thought of Marcel as a villain. He has his own code of honor. He wants what's best for the city of New Orleans," Narducci told TV Guide, adding that he will do whatever it takes to fulfill that.

"They did something that was, by Marcel's judgement, morally reprehensible. Now he's taken his revenge," the executive producer said of the Mikaelson family's fate.

Whether or not this will put Hayley in the crosshairs, since she will attempt to bring the fallen vampires back, remains to be seen but there's definitely a reason for fans to worry about her in "The Originals" season 4.

There's a lot riding on Hayley's success, but she is most certainly doomed to fail until of course, someone steps in to help her. Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) blood should be able to cure the rest of the Mikaelsons.

However, since it will be too risky for Hayley to get him, she might turn to baby Hope instead. Rumor has it that her blood should be as good as her father's in terms of the curing factor.

"The Originals" season 4 will premiere this fall.
