'The Originals' season 3 episode 21 spoilers: Marcel forced to re-examine his ties with the Mikaelsons

Charles Michael Davis as Marcel Gerard in 'The Originals.' The CW

As if the deaths of Cami (Leah Pipes) and Davina (Danielle Campbell) are not enough, it seems like the rising body count in New Orleans will not stop in the next episode of "The Originals" season 3.

In an interview with She Knows, Charles Michael Davis revealed that the remaining episodes of season 3 will feature another heartbreaking demise.

"I can tell you the way I see it, that they are big deaths," the actor, who portrays the role of Marcel in the series, said.

But the actor also implied that no one remains truly dead on the show.

"You know, people can come back," Davis revealed. He also teased that someone will betray Marcel before the finale episode of "The Originals" season 3, and it will force him to reexamine his ties with the Mikaelsons.

This happened in episode 20, where Freya Mikaelson (Riley Voelkel) broke the only spell that keeps Davina alive. This caused the deep rage that Marcel feels for the notorious vampire family.

In episode 21, titled "Give 'Em Hell, Kid," Marcel will have to face Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies) after he reached rock bottom when his tragic plan did not succeed. Will this start a big war between them?

The official synopsis for the upcoming episode reads:

"After receiving new visions of the looming prophecy, Freya (Riley Voelkel) uncovers that her family is on a collision course with a dangerous new enemy. Meanwhile, with the help of Detective Kinney (guest star Jason Dohring), Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) and Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) travel to the ancestral world to put a stop to the witches and take back their city once and for all. Elsewhere, Klaus and Elijah confront Marcel after a heartbreaking plan gone wrong has sent him spiraling."

"The Originals" season episode 21 airs on Friday, May 13, on The CW.
