With its premiere episode release date scheduled just a month away, The CW released the official synopsis for The Originals Season 2.

The CW authenticated the reports saying that Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) are still trying hard to cope with the death of baby Hope while they are in New Orleans. The situation is particularly extra hard for Hayley, especially since she is Hope's mother and she is a new hybrid.

The CW statement said, "As she adjusts to life as a hybrid, Hayley experiences crippling rage and depression after saying goodbye to her daughter."

Also, The CW revealed that Season Two will also feature several new insights regarding Cami's storyline. According to the synopsis, Leah Pipe's character will struggle to keep her focus on her tasks as a psychology student, but it is still unknown whether she will be successful in avoiding the supernatural world.

In addition, fans of the hit spin-off of The Vampire Diaries will also see the return of Klaus and Elijah's parents Mikael and Esther. Sebastian Roche will allegedly reprise his role as the hybrids' father, and he will be back in major episodes this season. On the other hand, Alice Evans will return as the vicious Esther, who is "fueled by a consuming and twisted love for her children. She devised a disturbing plan to reunite her fractured family that involved torment not only for the original siblings, but for any and all of their loved ones."

In the latest trailer released by the network, Klaus was heard saying, "New Orleans is a vicious place. Your enemies are everywhere." It means that the danger in the city did not change since Season One. On the other hand, Hayley was heard saying, "I have a werewolf temper to go with my new appetite."

The pilot episode of The Originals Season 2 will begin on Oct. 6 on The CW.
