The second part of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" is slated to be released in November, but fans are already waiting to get the first glimpse of the film. But even if Lionsgate is still mum about the release date of the first trailer for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2," speculations about it emerged when ProjectionList included the film in its roster of trailers that will come out in spring.
According to the website, the trailer of the film based on the best-selling fictional young adult novels is expected to come out on April 24 alongside the release of the film "The Age of Adeline" starring Harrison Ford and Blake Lively. This report, however, should be taken with a grain of salt since the film production outfit still has to confirm or deny if the alleged trailer release date is true.
Adapted from the phenomenal dystopian saga that features the life of a young woman embroiled in an unfortunate survival game to adhere with the traditions of the post-apocalyptic country of Panem, "The Hunger Games" film series showcases the talents of Jennifer Lawrence as the film's heroine Katniss Everdeen.
She is joined by other celebrated stars, including Liam Hemsworth as Gale, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch, Elizabeth Banks as Effie, Donald Sutherland as President Snow, Stanley Tucci as Ceasar Flickerman, Julianne Moore as President Coin, as well as Natalie Dormer as Cressida.
The latest installment of "The Hunger Games" series is expected to be released in the Imax format. The information was revealed by the film network and director Francis Lawrence.
"I'm thrilled 'Mockingjay – Part 2' will be in IMAX theaters. Fans will now have the chance to see the film in any format they want, which is exciting. We recently saw the 3-D version of 'Mockingjay – Part 1' before its release in China, and the new level of immersion was really fantastic," the director said, as quoted by Variety.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2" will debut on Nov. 20.
