The Florricks' downfall will happen in the next episode of "The Good Wife" season 7.
In the episode titled "Hearing," Alicia (Julianna Margulies) will prepare for her husband Peter's (Chris Noth) big trial with his campaign strategist and loyal crisis manager Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) and his lawyer Mike Tascioni (Will Patton) by trying to figure out the charges that will be filed against him.
But could Peter's team help him get him out of the case even if AUSA Connor Fox (Matthew Morrison) vowed to make it difficult for the former vice presidential candidate?
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will also feature the budding relationship between Alicia and her private investigator Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). According to the synopsis for the episode, the new couple will try to get out of all the chaos by spending a quiet weekend with each other. However, Alicia's interfering family will make it hard for them to have a relaxing time together.
Will the relationship between Alicia and Jason flourish, or will she go back to Peter's arms before series concludes in May?
CBS announced during the Super Bowl 2016 weekend that "The Good Wife" will be cancelled after season 7.
In a statement released by the network, CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller and CBS TV Studios president David Stapf said that it is better to end the critically acclaimed legal drama while it is still on the top of its game.
"We thank and applaud the outstanding cast, led by the impeccable Julianna Margulies, and the consummate writing and producing team, headed by the brilliant Robert and Michelle King, who brought to life a smart, sophisticated series that has delivered audiences so many memorable characters and unforgettable moments," the network executives stated. "It is a series that will only grow in prestige as its episodes are watched again or discovered by new viewers for many years to come."
The next episode of "The Good Wife" season 7 airs on Sunday, March 6.
