Ubisoft announced that an open beta test will be released next week for "The Crew" in preparation for the game's release on Dec. 2.  The open beta, which will run from Nov. 25 to 27, will be the final chance for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players to play the online racing video game for free before its official launch worldwide.

Those who will register for the online trial will get the chance to explore the U.S. roads without restrictions and compete with other players in two of the five available races in the game, which are located in the Midwest and East Coast.  In addition, two of the five spec classes featured in the soon-to-be-released online racing video game will also be included in the open beta so that players can have a chance to try it out.

All Xbox Live and PlayStation members will be given the opportunity to play the open beta, but there will be several features that will be exclusively offered to those who have subscribed to PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold.

Ubisoft Reflections and Ivory Tower worked together to develop the open world racing game that runs across major roads in the United States. The gameplay revolves around Alex Taylor (voiced by Troy Baker), whose main task is to infiltrate criminal groups while racing against other cars.

"The Crew" also features mini games dubbed as skills, which are activated once a player manages to drive through them. The skills involve finishing different tasks like staying close to a racing line for an allotted time or weaving through different gates.

Aside from the open beta, Ubisoft also released a new trailer for the game called "The Crew 101." It aims to provide information about the extraordinary features of the game as well as its arcade-looking gameplay.

"The Crew" will be officially released in stores on Dec. 2 across all gaming consoles, including PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
