FBI Special Agent Liz Keen (Megan Boone) continues to be the subject of the agency's manhunt operation as she and her trusted informant Red (James Spader) remain on the run in tonight's premiere episode of "The Blacklist" season 3.

The third season will pick up where season 2 ended, which means that the premiere episode will center on Liz and Red's attempt to run away from the authorities after the former killed the US Attorney General Tom Connolly (Reed Birney).

Series creator Jon Bokenkamp recently told Yahoo TV that a different Liz will be seen in "The Blacklist" season 3. The season is about "Liz discovering and battling with the criminal inside. She's murdered somebody. She's had Reddington in her life for a couple of years now, so the idealistic young FBI agent that she was in the pilot has been completely flipped upside down," Bokenkamp shared.

But while Liz only counts on Red to help her, the series creator also shared that viewers of the show should not be surprised if her ex-husband Tom (Ryan Eggold) suddenly reappears to help her find a good hiding place.

Meanwhile, in the same report, Boone teased that her character Liz will be featured in more action-packed scenes this season, including an explosive car chase with her former FBI partner Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and sprinting before jumping a towering 15-foot fence.

The official episode synopsis for "The Blacklist" season 3 titled "The Troll Farmer" reads:

"The FBI hunts for Liz for the murder of an attorney general in the Season 3 premiere. Also: Red and Liz try to flee the city with help from a Blacklister called the Troll Farmer; and Dembe is put in a perilous situation."

"The Blacklist" season 3 is set to premiere tonight, Oct. 1, on NBC. It can also be viewed on the network's official website.
