Fans will have to wait a month for the next episode of "The Blacklist" season 3 but when it does return, wedding bells will be ringing. However, best wishes might not be in order.
The next installment of the series, titled "Mr. Solomon," will be divided into two intense and action-packed parts. The first half is expected to be all about Liz and Tom's wedding ceremony and Red's attempts to prevent it.
The promo for the upcoming "The Blacklist" season 3 episode shows that Red will try to convince Liz to call off the wedding. On the day of the ceremony, Red visits Liz to talk her out of it.
"Please don't do this. Tom is not the man you think he is," Red tells her. "He's a criminal." Unfortunately for Red, Liz seems to have made up her mind – he will marry Tom. She believes he's changed, despite Red telling her otherwise. "Men like Tom don't change," Red maintains.
Red seems to have run out of options to stop the union he knows would be one of the biggest mistakes Liz would commit. "The Blacklist" season 3 promo teases that Red is finally done talking.
He meets up with some armed men in front of the church, with one of them handing him a shotgun. It appears that the wedding will end bloodily. From the looks of it, Red is getting ready to eliminate Tom himself so Liz has no one to marry.
Interestingly, Red has already vowed to Liz that he'll help them get out of this life of danger to start a family. Liz is already pregnant with Tom's baby and they have decided to push through with the pregnancy after fears that they would put their baby's life in jeopardy because of their dangerous way of life.
Other reports hint that Red won't be after Tom but someone else who is after the groom. According to Entertainment Weekly, Tom's former spy handler and mentor called The Major will be back to settle an unfinished business.
This dealing is bound to weaken the chances of Tom and Liz living a happy life as a couple. This hints that The Major might be out to get Liz's husband-to-be.
"The Blacklist" season 3 episode 17 airs April 7 on NBC.
