'Big Bang Theory' season 8 episode 11 preview: Sheldon shuns Christmas once again while Amy rubs it in

Sheldon Cooper and the gang will be in hiatus after Thursday's emotional rollercoaster episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 8, but it does not mean that news about the upcoming episode of the hit American TV sitcom will be scarce.

Broadway World posted the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "The Clean Room Infiltration," which reads:

"Leonard and Wolowitz nearly come to blows and turn to Raj for help in dealing with a work emergency. Meanwhile, Amy throws an authentic Victorian Christmas party, and Sheldon seeks revenge on her for making him celebrate the holidays."

That is typical for Sheldon, who completely hates anything related to the holidays. But Amy will not give in to his whim, and she will continue planning for a big, authentic Christmas celebration in spite of her boyfriend's resistance. Will Amy succeed in staging an epic Christmas party, or will Sheldon manage to ruin all the fun?

Meanwhile, fans are still reeling over the emotions that they felt during last week's episode. Sheldon rarely shares his sentimental side, but when he thought that "Sheldon Cooper Presents Fun with Flags" will come to an end, he let down all his guards and allowed the viewers to feel that he is not happy to lose an important part of him.

The past episode also explained Bernadette's fierce nature. When Penny told her that all their co-workers were scared of her, Bernadette was surprised. She said that her father taught her to be tough, and that she shouldn't take crap from anyone.

Though last week's "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 episode 10 showed the different sides of the characters, the ratings dropped a bit. Digital Spy reported that the show registered lower rating points compared to its earlier episodes.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 8 episode 11 will return on TV screens on Dec. 11.
