As much as fans do not want to see them end, people wonder how and or when "The Big Bang Theory" will be ending. Currently, the show is at the halfway point of their 11th season, but many fans are already wondering about the 12th season of the show and how it looks like it may be their last.

The news of this possibility was first brought up during an interview with one of the show's stars, Johnny Galecki who plays as Dr. Leonard. With 11 seasons and almost 11 years since the show's first episode, he hinted that it is only so long that a show can go on.

"The only manner in which the cast has discussed wrapping [The Big Bang Theory] has been that we're all going to be very sad when that day comes," Galecki says during the Television Critics Association winter press, as per TV Line. "But I think at this point everyone's very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families."

While this is not confirmed, it is not unlikely for them to actually end the show by their 12th season. For now, there is at least still the spinoff show of "The Big Bang Theory" based on Sheldon's early years, aptly called "Young Sheldon." In fact, they just recently ended their premiere season, and it has been renewed a second season.

That said, it is no suprise that the spin-off show would be getting positive reviews. The ratings were actually so high that CBS calls it "the most watched comedy premier on any netweork since 2011," as per Deadline.

Both "The Big Bang Theory" and "Young Sheldon" are still showing, so fans might as well enjoy it while they last. As for the former specifically, official news on the show's last season may not appear anytime soon.
