The 22nd season of "The Bachelor" aired on the very first day of the New Year. A month has passed since the season first began, and while the finale will not be airing anytime soon, things have already wrapped up. Meanwhile, those following the series can expect to see a finale sometime in March.

However, for those who want to know the details as soon as possible, here is what to expect from the 22nd season of "The Bachelor" and from the leading man Arie Luyendyk Jr.

According to Daily Mail, Luyendyk is one of the oldest bachelors to appear on the show -- a 36-year-old race car driver, he immigrated from the Netherlands to the United States of America at the age of three. Daily Mail went on to explain that Luyendyk was not exactly new to ABC's hit reality show "The Bachelor." Back in 2008, he competed in "The Bachelorette," a spin-off of the show where, instead of a group of ladies competing for a man's heart, a group of men competed for the heart of a single woman.

Similar to "The Bachelor," a handful of men are eliminated each week. Luyendyk was eventually eliminated, but he is back and is once again looking for love in "The Bachelor."

According to reports, Luyendyk ended up picking Becca Kufrin from Minneapolis and Lauren Burnham from Dallas as his final ladies. The final elimination round was then filmed in Cusco, Peru. Burnham was eliminated during the rose ceremony, and Kufrin was given the last rose.

Reality Steve also reported on the final rose ceremony, stating that Kufrin was chosen. However, Luyendyk reportedly mentioned that while he had chosen Kufrin, he had fallen in love with both women during the duration of "The Bachelor." News about Luyendyk contacting Burnham during the season's premier has also been hot in the internet.
