The post-production for "The 100" season 4 officially began, which means that the premiere episode is right around the corner.

New reports claim that the post-production process for the next installment of The CW's dystopian sci-fi drama already started, based on the social media posts of the people working behind the scenes.

According to a Twitter update of supervising sound editor Charlie Crutcher, his team began putting the sounds for the new episodes of "The 100" season 4, and he promised that fans should be prepared to be in for a wild ride. Sound effects editor Peter Daniel Lago also updated his followers about the post-production status of the show.

Meanwhile, the writers' pool of the post-apocalyptic series continues to post cryptic images on their official Instagram account instead of shedding light about the plot of "The 100" season 4. In their most recent update, the writers simply showed several blank memo notes attached on a corkboard, while an "X" was written on the one located on the top right portion of the board. However, the writers still opted not to include an explanation of the image to keep the fans guessing about what will transpire next season.

At the end of season 3, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) found out from A.L.I.E. (Erica Cerra) that even if she managed to save the people of Arkadia and the Grounders from the City of Light, the Earth will still face an imminent destruction due to the meltdown of the nuclear plants that were scattered all over the world left by the previous generation.

This means that Clarke, Bellamy (Bob Morley), Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), Monty (Christopher Larkin), Raven (Lindsay Morgan), and Jasper (Devon Bostick) must lead their people to find a way to help save the Earth and its inhabitants from the possible danger.

The CW is expected to air the premiere episode of "The 100" season 4 in early 2017.
