'The 100' season 4 spoilers, air date: Octavia unleashes her 'nasty' side while Clarke witnesses another end of the world

Octavia will further feel the pang of Lincoln's death in "The 100" season 4. The CW

Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) will be far more sinister and volatile than she ever was come "The 100" season 4. According to Avgeropoulos, a path to darkness has revealed itself to her character after the strenuous battle against Alie (Erica Cerra).

"Next season, you're going to see Octavia take a lot of really dark turns and uncover some really nasty layers," the actress told Just Jared Jr.

This comes as a little surprise seeing that Octavia did not think twice to kill Pike (Pike) in the season 3 finale. The season wrapped up after she stabbed the Arkadia chancellor, but "The 100" season 4 should provide details on what led to that moment and why she chose that moment to end Pike's life.

According to reports, the murder was born out of Octavia's thirst to avenge the death of the love of her life Lincoln (Ricky Whittle). It was Pike who brought him to his brutal demise.

"They made so many epic sacrifices for one another. It was the classic, forbidden Romeo and Juliet romance," Avgeropoulos said about the romance Octavia and Lincoln shared.

The killing of Pike is just the beginning of Octavia's dark turn in "The 100" season 4, something that Avgeropoulos is thrilled to see play out. "That will be exciting for me as an actress. She's always evolving and changing," she said.

Meanwhile, Alie is not done messing around in "The 100" season 4. Rumor has it that the evil artificial intelligence was telling the truth when she said that the kill switch will literally exterminate majority of the planet.

However, Clarke chose to forget all about that and activated the kill switch anyway. If Alie was being honest about what this device can do, Clarke will have the face the consequences of her decision in "The 100" season 4.

Clarke knew that it was a risky play, but she convinced herself that they will be able to figure something out should Alie's words will prove true in "The 100" season 4.

While there's no sign of the impending danger now, Clarke and the rest will realize it soon and just like that, they are once again in the face of another catastrophe. How will they get out of this disaster this time?

"The 100" season 4 premieres early next year.
