"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" location tests in Japan recently ended, allowing "Tekken" fans and players to try out the much-awaited update before it officially goes out into the open.

The highly anticipated "Tekken 7" update is yet to get a release date. While the game is only confirmed for launch in Japanese arcades, there's also word that it will find its way to consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is yet to make this official but there are already reports that the "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" release date will fall on the latter half of the year for the new-gen consoles. Around that time, the arcades should be getting it too.

As fans await news about the update, they also look forward with massive excitement about the "Fated Retribution" characters. In this update, "Street Fighter" brawler Akuma is joining the fray, much to the excitement of fighting game fanatics.

Akuma was the first character to be revealed for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" and he comes all the way from a different universe with a mission to fulfill, which is to kill Heihachi at the order of Kazumi Mishima. This task allows the Supreme Master of the Fist to integrate seamlessly in the realm.

The "Tekken 7" update comes with new gameplay tweaks that will drastically improve the experience of players in the combat zone. With "Fated Retribution," fighters can perform what Bandai Namco dubs as the Rage Attacks.

These moves can only be performed when players reach a certain level of their character's skills. When executed, gamers will be able to inflict greater damage on their opponent, thus increasing their chances of winning the battle.

On top of that, "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" also boasts an improved visual qualities and other necessary fine-tuning to allow players to enjoy the fighting game to its fullest.
