'Teen Wolf' news: Arden Cho's Kira Yukimura not returning for season 6

Kira Yukimura will no longer return to Beacon Hills in "Teen Wolf" season 6, according to actress Arden Cho.

The actress made the shocking announcement in a YouTube video, saying that she loves her character so much but it was already the end of the line for Kira.

"I just want to say I love Kira Yukimura so much," she says in the video. "I love the Yukimura family. I loved my experience on Teen Wolf. I love the cast and crew, it's been an amazing three and a half years. It's gone by so fast. But unfortunately, it looks like we are wrapped up with Kira's storyline and she won't be coming back for season six."

Kira was last seen in the season 5 finale as she headed over to the desert to learn how to control her kitsune powers to help the Beacon Hills wolf pack beat the beast of Gevaudan.

Cho did not reveal the exact reason why she will have to leave the show.

"I think sometimes in a show where there's so many characters, there isn't always room for everyone," the actress revealed. However, she still hopes that Kira could soon return to Beacon Hills in the future.

"You never know with Teen Wolf! People might come back. It is what it is."

Meanwhile, Movie Pilot revealed that Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) will change his eye color next season. This could mean that Scott's (Tyler Posey) beta is being prepped to be the next alpha of their wolf pack. Since Scott and the other senior members of the pack will be leaving Beacon Hills High School after graduation, it could mean that Liam could be next in line to lead the wolf pack in season 6.

"Teen Wolf" is expected to return to MTV for its sixth season later this year.
