The latest tablet computer from Microsoft comes with a 10.8-inch display and an Intel Atom x7 processor that runs at 1.6 GHz and provides a Turbo Boost speed of up to 2.4 GHz. It also comes with a front-facing 3.5 megapixel and rear-facing 8 megapixel cameras that both has the capacity to capture 1080p videos. It is reportedly running with the Windows 8.1 operating system but it can be upgraded to the Windows 10 once it arrives soon.

Though the Surface 3 is technically a tablet, it can also function very well as a laptop just like the Macbook Air because of the detachable Type Cover which can also work as the keypad for the device. It also have a Docking Station that could instantly transform the device into a full desktop workstation because it can easily be attached to an HD monitor, external mouse and keyboard, as well as a printer.

The Surface 3 promises to give the Macbook Air a run for its money, especially since the device can be purchased for only $499, while the most affordable MacBook Air is sold for $899 and up.
