Sam and Dean may finally feel God's presence in "Supernatural" season 11

God may finally respond to his little sister's not-so-friendly invite to earth. When "Supernatural" season 11 returns, Amara's brutal way of convincing her brother to turn up may finally come to fruition.

The big man upstairs is finally taking action. Amara has been ruthlessly murdering innocent people to show her big bro that she can harm as many of his creations as she can just to get him to stop ignoring her.

As seen in previous "Supernatural" season 11 episodes, Sam and Dean have been doing their best to stop Amara but she is just too powerful to defeat.

As she calls for God to show up, Sam has been trying his best to get the big guy involved as only he could help them in putting a stop to Amara's dark ways. Of course, Dean is not the most thrilled person about this but it looks like the heavens have to listen to Sam's pleas.

Unfortunately, it looks like God is not ready to show himself yet. Instead, he is simply sending a prophet to deal with her bratty sister. Actor Rob Benedict is reprising his role as God's messenger Chuck in "Supernatural" season 11.

Chuck was last seen in "Supernatural" season 10 in an episode called "Fan Fiction." His appearance only lasted seconds and it happened in the last moments of the episode, which happens to be the 200th of the series.

However, his return in "Supernatural" season 11 hints that he will be around for a while. After all, he seems to be the type who knows a lot about defeating Amara. He was personally sent by God. In fact, he could be the one helping out the Winchester brothers, proof that he was listening to Sam's appeals after all.

Interestingly, there are rumors that Chuck himself is more than just God's prophet but God himself. For a while now, there are theories flying around suggesting he is Amara's big brother. At one point in season 4 of "Supernatural," he even said he is "definitely a god."

Meanwhile, apart from Chuck, it looks like Sam and Dean will find an ally in an unlikely individual. Lucifer is out to get Amara, provided Castiel, who still has not found a way to dispel the demon, gets to be his meat suit for a long while.

"Supernatural" season 11 returns with "Safe House" on March 23 on The CW.
