'Super Smash Bros' Wii U error: data problems for users

Reports claiming that "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U caused a lot of console owners serious problems, as the game brought a system error that allegedly led to some units accidentally bricking while playing the game. 

Several Wii U players received an error prompt that says, "There is a problem with the system memory. For help, make a note of the error code and visit support.nintendo.com." 

Those who got this message said that they are unable to play the recently released "Super Smash Bros." According to Wii U Daily, the message comes from the error code 160-0103, which brings problems to the system memory of their Wii U. Console users receive it once the decide to quit during an online match. 

Because of this, the Wii U manufacturer released a statement that advices users to avoid turning their consoles off if they encounter the same problem. 

Nintendo said, "A small percentage of consumers playing Wii U may experience error codes (160-0103 and 60-1710) that could affect the ability of the system to function properly. We are investigating this issue now. Until the solution is available, anyone that experiences these error codes can call the Nintendo contact centre at +44 (0) 345 60 50 247 for help and repair." 

IDigitalTimes also offers a few tips to avoid receiving the "Super Smash Bros." error code. According to the website, users should turn off their Wi-Fi or LAN Internet connection to prevent the system from updating automatically. But if the update had already been rolled out, iDigitalTimes recommends that Wii U owners should refrain from playing "Super Smash Bros.," particularly the online mode of the game. The website also says that playing the game offline could prevent untoward problems.

The error code 160-0103 had also occurred on other popular games. According to a Reddit user, titles like "Call of Duty: Black II," "New Super Mario Bros U," "Super Mario 3D World," "Hyrule Warriors," "Mario Kart 8," "The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD," as well as "Scribblenauts" also encountered the said error.
