The final roster of characters and the stages of "Super Smash Bros. 4" have finally been revealed more than a year after the game's release.

Nintendo revealed the complete list of characters and stages of the best-selling crossover fighting game in a video trailer, which centers on the seven new characters that were introduced after the game's launch on the Wii U and 3DS in 2014.

The first DLC character that came out was Mewtwo from "Pokémon," which was added in both versions of the game in April 2015. It was followed by Roy from "Fire Emblem" and Lucas from "Mother 3," which were both released in June 2015.

They were later on followed by the legendary "Street Fighter" icon Ryu from Capcom. The fourth installment of "Super Smash Bros." managed to incorporate most of Ryu's classic moves which the character is known for, including the popular Focus Attack that was first introduced in "Street Fighter IV."

Then Cloud Strife from "Final Fantasy VII" joined the game as another DLC character in December, after topping a poll that Nintendo conducted to learn what the players want to see in the game.

Finally, Nintendo released an update containing Corrin from "Fire Emblem Fates" and Umbra Witch Bayonetta from Sega to round up the 58 playable characters of the popular fighting game.

After the release of the last two DLC characters, "Super Smash Bros.," creator Masahiro Sakurai talked about his accomplishments upon completing the game in a statement posted on Famitsu, which was translated by Source Gaming.

Sakurai revealed that all DLC characters except Lucas and Roy came out with unique playstyles and mechanics. For example, Corrin changes into a dragon and is capable of having an incredible reach while Bayonetta comes with special combos including her Bullet Arts and Witch Time.

He also expressed his gratitude for those who helped in creating the game, as well as the players who supported the game. Sakurai also said that he was finally relieved that the game development was finally over since he can now have an extended vacation.
