'Super Chariot' release date news: Enhanced version to drop on the Nintendo Switch this May

"Super Chariot" coming to the Nintendo Switch this May Frima Studio / Super Chariot

A lucky bunch indeed are Nintendo Switch users as another popular platformer is up for a release on the hybrid console in the form of "Super Chariot" -- an enhanced version of the co-operative centered multiplayer game "Chariot" developed and published by Frima Studio.

According to the announcement, the game will see a release on the Switch sometime this coming May. On top of this, users will be able to get hands-on with the title as a physical edition of the game is also underway.

The hard copy of the game will come packed with extra merchandise such as the Royal Gadget DLC pack, which will include a new selectable character and new gadgets for players to equip.

Aside from this, it will come integrated with the game's original soundtrack, however, the deal is limited to European and Australian audiences.

Storyline-wise, not much has been added to the intended Switch port except for the previously released Royal Gadget downloadable content package mentioned beforehand. In this edition, players will still take on the role of either the princess or her valiant fiancé, who is tasked with carrying the former king's body to his final resting place.

Gameplay-wise, the side scroller will enable users to guide the duo through 25 visually striking stages and 52 colorful levels. This game, as mentioned earlier, also supports a multiplayer mode. Players can employ the help of their trusted companion as they plough through the increasingly difficult stages.

If still in doubt about purchasing the game, users can avail of a free demo that will drop soon on Nintendo's eShop. It will include three levels that players can try to get a more concrete feel of the game.

Release date-wise, no official date has been shared, but, as the developers insist, it will drop not later than May 2018.
