While USA Network confirmed that "Suits" will return for a seventh season, fans of the legal drama series remain uncertain about the fate of the show now that Gina Torres will kiss her character Jessica Pearson goodbye after the end of season 6.

In an interview with Cinema Blend, Torres explained the reason why she decided to leave the show where her character had been a major part of for the past six seasons. The actress said: "Leaving the show was indeed a difficult decision to make. However, at this time, it is necessary to get back to my life [in Los Angeles] and all the very important things that being on location in Toronto made very difficult to manage."

The cast of "Suits" had to fly all the way to Toronto, Canada in order to shoot all the episodes every season. This means that they have to leave everything behind every time they have to work on the set of the critically acclaimed legal drama.

But Torres will not be out of the limelight for long since the actress landed a role in Shondaland's "The Catch" season 2 on ABC according to a report from TVLine. The series is included in the midseason line-up of ABC.

However, the actress was not entirely closing her doors on "Suits." In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Torres revealed that Jessica might still find herself back in New York despite her decision to leave the Pearson Specter Litt law firm to follow Jeff Malone (D.B. Woodside) in Chicago.

"Don't count Jessica out on Suits, 'cause those boys are going to mess up and they're going to have to call me. I believe that. I don't know when, I don't know how, but that story's not done, 'cause everybody comes back," the actress stated.

USA Network has yet to announce the official premiere date of "Suits" season 7.
