'Suits' season 5 episode 3 spoilers: Mike tries extra hard to impress father-in-law

Mike will try his best to impress his future father-in-law Robert on the newest episode of "Suits." USA Network

The newest episode of the legal drama series "Suits" will feature Mike Ross (Patrick Adams) and his crazy antics to try to get on his future father-in-law's good side.

Cartermatt reveals that in "No Refills," the high-profile lawyer will do his damnedest to impress Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce), even going as far as bringing him to co-counsel a case. Meanwhile, Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) will give Rachel, Mike's fiancée (Meghan Markle), an unusual assignment while mediating between the future in-laws.

Fans will also see Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) bringing some "star power" to his ongoing conflict with Jack Soloff (John Pyper Ferguson), which rival Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) and Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) cannot seem to stay clear of. Gretchen Bodinski (Aloma Wright) will still continue filling in as Harvey's new legal secretary after Donna vacated the position and started working for Louis.

Episode 3 follows the events of "Compensation." In the episode, Harvey has yet to move on from Donna's betrayal, though he already hired a new secretary who appeared to be more competent than her.  A new head of commission committee entered the scene, and proceeded to do what he was aiming to accomplish all along -- to cause trouble for Harvey.

Robert was also seen presenting his daughter Rachel the pre-nup, while Mike was busy with a case no one wanted to waste money on, including Jessica. In addition, his former boss Jonathan Sidwell (Brandon Firla) apparently still did not trust him.

Meanwhile, Deadline reports that "Suits" has been renewed for season 6, with a total of 16 episodes. The USA Network's top drama received 3.4 million viewers on the premiere of its fifth season.

"The show has set the bar high in every way and continues to be a strong performer and marquee property for USA," network president Chris McCumber said.

"No Refills" airs at 9 p.m. Wednesday on USA Network.
