'Star Wars Battlefront' DLC release date: Bespin coming after E3 for season pass holders

"Star Wars Battlefront" Bespin DLC drops later this June. EA DICE

The "Star Wars Battlefront" Bespin DLC that fans have been waiting for will arrive on June 21 for season pass holders. Electronic Arts made the announcement of the release date along with a key art.

As it always is with the expansion packs for the game, the rest of "Star Wars Battlefront" gamers will have to wait for a couple of weeks before they get their turn. This will likely fall on the first week of July.

The "Star Wars Battlefront" Bespin DLC takes players to the infamous Cloud City from "Star Wars Episode 4: Empire Strikes Back," which they will explore through the eyes of smuggler Lando Calrissian and bounty hunter Dengar.

"Lando is very skilled with a blaster too, but his greatest talent comes from knowing the odds and using tricks against his enemies," EA DICE described Han Solo's frenemy.

"Dengar is a villain that thrives on being in a fight. He wields the DLT-19, which makes him the first Hero with a heavy blaster so far," the company continued.

Speaking of blasters, "Star Wars Battlefront" Bespin DLC will come with two of these weapons—one caters to short range combat and the other is all about long range.

There will also be X-8 Night Sniper and the EE-4 blasters at gamers' disposal. The expansion also endows Lando and Dengar with "new traits that will give them unique gameplay abilities."

"Star Wars Battlefront" Bespin DLC will also allow players to get on board a cloud car. Iconic places such as the Bioniip Laboratories or carbon-freezing chambers will also be featured.

There will also be "game modes, star cards, blasters, maps and more," but EA DICE won't talk about that yet. Either way, "Star Wars Battlefront" Bespin DLC is shaping up to be one exciting expansion pack.

Bespin is the second of the four DLC packs coming to the game. The third one is expected to have something to do with Darth Vader's choice of abode— the Death Star.
