'Star Wars: Battlefront 2' DLC news: 'Clone Wars' DLC may come soon

"Star Wars: Battlefront II" has had its up and downs — albeit more of the latter. Nevertheless, it still does have a big player base and DICE obviously does not seem keen on giving up on the game. It is not surprising then to see the game get a downloadable content (DLC) quite soon, as recent reports seem to hint.

The DLC, according to DICE developer Dennis Brännvall, would be featuring the clone wars. The game's forum on its official website had been for some time now bombarded with questions from players about the devs in general and on request for changes and updates they want to be made. One such request, which players have been clamoring for is a Clone Wars DLC.

When asked about it in the forum, Brännvall simply said, "Yes." Given that the game started off quite badly due to the controversial loot boxes issue, it is not surprising for DICE to give in to what majority of the fans want. At least now, he has given confirmation that the Clone Wars DLC is indeed on the way.

At the moment, there are not many details provided about the expansion; however, Brännvall did give some more information on other requests that players have. Players particularly asked about player customization and Conquest mode, aside from the Clone Wars DLC.

"We're obviously hearing the requests about a more open, free-flowing large mode like Conquest," said Brännvall about the conquest mode. "Not sure if porting a mode over is the right way to go, but we're definitely working on satisfying that request." As for the player customization, he also simply said "Yes" implying that new customization features are to be added.

A confirmation of the changes that fans wanted and the much-requested Clone Wars DLC is possibly the best news for fans right now. If anything, DICE is definitely listening to its players' feedback, something crucial especially in a struggling game such as "Star Wars: Battlefront II."

No specific date has been given for the DLC's rollout so fans should stay tuned in to more reports in the weeks to come.
